In the year of 1980 we met each other Lourdes Villacrés and Nelly Romero in the city of Quito, we made a good friendship from then on being each a fond of the national music. Participating individually as fans in different festivals in the year of 1991 decides to form the duet Villacrés Romero "Las Alondras del Ecuador" deciding to record as professional artists in 1991 a simple disk 45rpm. with the songs "Dulce Locura" side A and "Siempre te amé" you side B for productions GAMA. In 1993 we record other simple with the hit "Ya no somos nada" for FERVI productions.

In the course of the same year we record for the stamp QUEREBALU of the Peru. The songs: "Se fue mi madrecita" in pasillo rhythm and "Negrita mi dulce amor" to guayno rhythm.

In 1994 we had the opportunity to record our first cd with the title "Para gozar y bailar con el dúo Villacres Romero", they "Vuelven las Alondras el dúo Villacrés Romero." All this with the stamp of "Productions Zapata."
